Vintage Lace -- Tunisian Style!

Vintage Lace --  Tunisian Style!

I was enjoying making the Vintage Lace blanket when I started thinking, "This is so pretty, I wonder if I could apply it to Tunisian crochet?" Earlier I had followed a pattern to learn how to make a Chevron in Tunisian crochet and having learned 4 ways to make increases (more on that later) I started thinking how to do the Tunisian equivalent of ch3 at the top of the "hill". The following are my findings...(the top 3 rows show the stitch)...

Abbreviations:
Tss - Tunisian simple stitch
st - stitch
ch - chain
Tss3tog - Tunisian simple stitch 3 together (decrease)
yo - yarn over
2x - two times
inc - increase

So, without further ado, here's how to start it:
(multiple of 14)
[for sample, chain either 28 or 42]
1st row: basic forward and return pass
2nd row (setting up row): with one loop on hook, inc 1 Tss, 1 Tss in each of next 5 sts, Tss3tog, *1 Tss in each of next 5 sts, yo 2x, sk 1 st, 1 Tss in next 5, Tss3tog, 1 Tss in each of next 5, repeat from * until the last 5, 1Tss in each of next 5 sts, Inc, then tss into last st.
Then return pass.
3rd row: (For this and following rows, you won't be skipping any stitches)
with one loop on hook, inc 1 Tss, 1 Tss in each of next 5 sts, Tss3tog, *1 Tss in each of next 5 sts (working stitch #5 into the LEFT diagonal from yo from previous row), yo 2x, work next Tss stitch into RIGHT diagonal from previous row (counts as stitch #1) Tss into next 4 stitches (for a total of 5) Tss3tog 1 Tss in each of next 5 sts (working stitch #5 into the LEFT diagonal from yo from previous row) Repeat from * until the last 5, 1Tss in each of next 5 sts, Inc, then tss into last st.
Return pass.

Keep repeating row 3 for pattern.
Bind off.

Now to figure out how to do the lacy border....
